Evangelistic Health

Evangelistic Health
The reality is this: the process for a church to become healthy must start somewhere and build from that place.  And that place is evangelism.

Evangelism is the priority element of church health, and it doesn’t require years and years of classes and training to accomplish.  It’s the very first thing that happened in the local church:  “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized; and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:41).

I often think about the folks in our town who are lost and without hope - some of them are my friends - and I wonder what it is that I could do (that I’m not already doing) to help them see their need for salvation through faith alone in Christ alone.  That’s one of the reasons we do the community outreach events.  But, in the end, it’s God who does the drawing.  We’re just a tool.  Having said that, one of the things I pray for churches is that the folks would have a heart for evangelism... and be doing it.
