An important part of our ministry is focused on pastors. Some pastors need a get-away, but find affordability a problem. Completed in 2018, the J.F. Biddle Ministry Center in Newport, TN can meet that need. It includes an attractively designed apartment with kitchenette and private access to bath facilities, along with 2 additional bedrooms on the walk-out level. It is offered for 3 nights at no cost to pastors and other Christian workers.
Churches sometimes need a pleasant place to use for planning and retreats. The J.F. Biddle Ministry Center is designed just for that need. With a total of 5 bedrooms (including 2 in the loft), sleeping for up to 12, the Biddle Ministry Center meets that need. At the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains, and less than 25 miles from from Gatlinburg, TN, it's a great place to relax and refresh. While there is no official fee, churches and larger groups often make a donation to SCE in appreciation for use of the Ministry Center.
The Biddle Ministry Center is also available for use as a vacation getaway for anyone interested. Being so close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, gives your family great access to one of the favorite tourist destinations in the country. Families who use the center are encouraged to make a donation to Southeast Church Extension.
The Biddle Ministry Center is smoke free and alcohol free. In courtesy to guests with allergies, we don't allow pets... sorry, pet lovers!
